GLIDING AND GRACEFUL
This amazing and graceful bird has an oversized bill, sinuous neck and large, dark body. Squadrons of pelicans soar just inches above the water, barely moving any part of their body. They feed by plunge-diving from high up, using the force of the impact to stun small fish before scooping them up. These graceful birds were once on the brink of extinction, but are doing well today.
