KING OF THE BEACH
The Northern Elephant Seal usually spend most of their time at sea, and usually only come to land when it is time to give birth, breed and molt. These occur on remote beaches in a grouping called a rookery. In recent decades, the breeding range has extended northwards, thus expanding their territory.
